Beautiful Brick Building

Down by the River Don on the 5 Weirs cycle route.

By the end of this week we will have cycled from Sheffield to Doncaster as we boat and cycle back for car etc.

Looking forward to it, but not sure my legs are.

Yesterday the Supertram took the strain as it took us first to Centertainment to see the Star Trek Movie, then back into Sheffield for another walk around (after shops were shut!) and then a lovely meal at the Wig and Pen.

Today as we are now at Tinsley Marina for the night we plan to eat all we can at the Chinese Restaurant recommended by Mick off Rose of Arden possibly followed by yet another film.

Decadence !

Hello Cath, I see that you took the sunshine with you - well we would like it back. Looks dire for tomorrow I have even dug out the dogs raincoats...

New floor now fitted throughout the boat, several hours of sanding. I know all about enjoyment.

Enjoy yourselves. Don't work the lock slave too hard!!!

Hi Mick

Well we might have been dragging it around behind us but so far we have avoided a drenching! On the cycle ride back to Sheffield we did briefly shelter under a bridge to avoid the hailstones which soon passed.

Yesterday we cycled from Sprotbrough to Eastwood in the dry then took boat to Sprotbrough to join the car. The rain did start for the last half hour or so 7 to 7.30 but the brolly worked. River levels gone up significantly overnight on our mooring but we are still hoping to move on to Long Sandall today levels permitting. Off to check them now at the lock.

Lock slave's electric button finger holding up well.

See you around the system some time
Kath
