I managed Keadby a lot better than West Stockwith and have a video to prove it!
With thanks to fellow boaters (Sentimental Reason) who took the surprise footage. They do not appear to have caught the victory dance I did standing on the roof of the boat though. Luckily for me!
We have never really had a problem with Keadby. It somehow seems a lot easier than West Stockwith.
We have stood and watched narrowboats trying to turn back into the tide there though and they look as though they are not moving. Very powerful tides down that end of the river.
Selby lock is another one we are hit (literally at times) and miss with.
Sentimental Reason said they fluffed their entrance this time but I could't hear quite what had gone wrong for them because of the noise of the water coming into the lock.
