No I haven't tried one. Having read the tried and tested in Waterways World I imagine that as the boat will not sit as deep as a normal prop would make it possibly we would not pick up as much debris anyway. Only time will tell.
I want good pushing power against river flows for when we go abroad and this is the kiddy apparently.
Derwent 6 have one fitted perhaps they are the ones to ask as they have been out and about for a while now.
Don't worry. 'shiny kit syndrome' is a well known affliction - tho' it's more usual in middle aged men. I suffer from it myself - I recently bought £70 worth of titanium in the form of a single large nut. (!)

Have you tried one? They look more prone to snagging debris than the usual curved props? I am curious.
